Starting new 150 gal tank which will be a mix of wrasses tangs and a dwarf angel or two. What do you recommend for a sand depth? Appx 100 lbs of live rock and 30 gal sump.

Thanks

Depends on which genera of wrasses; not all require sand.

Assuming you desire some sand sleepers, 1-2" is all that's really needed. IMO it's more important to avoid a sand type which is excessively coarse and could lead to abrasions on the fish.

I like to do at least a couple inches of sand so my leopard and pencil wrasse don't hit the glass bottom when diving under. Also agree with evolved don't get a coarse sand or use any crushed coral.
