wrasse or no wrasse

well guys i was thinking of what fish we may get next after i get the RG acclimated and in the tank for a month or so and thought about a wrasse.....ive had a wrasse before but that was in a FO tank only and those as ya know arent reef safe....i thought about a leopard wrasse or a peacock wrasse and saw it said expert only.....i dont much like those words when it comes to fish because it can usually mean trouble at some point so i saw this guy http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+1378+2648&pcatid=2648 any of ya ever have one and what do ya think of it?

mario,

they can be really shy at first and hard to get to eat. once they do, they are nice fish.
I plan to have one or several.

Instead of burying in the sand like some wrasses, the flasher wrasses build a slime/mucus "cocoon" at night. In the morning, after the fish has woken up, you can see the reminants attached to a rock!

I had 4. A male & 3 females (so he'd flash). They were sold to me as Carpenter's wrasses by liveaquaria back in '02. When the male died, one of the females turned male.

Just make sure your tank is well covered!!! They're jumpers!!!

I have one, and have had them in the past definitely one of my favorite Wrasses, I never have really had any of mine be shy or jump though knock on wood.

ill have to make a mesh top then.....seen many diy mesh tops and they look simple enough
