Wrasse Prices??????

smilesmile2008

I like fish
I am planing to start a new tank and this is the wrasse that I'm planning to put in:
1. Naoko Wrasse
2. Solar Wrasse
3. Cleaner Wrasse
4. Exquisite Wrasse
5. Labout's wrasse( Juvenile/Femal)
6. Blue star leopard wrasse
7. Lineautus and Flame Wrasse(Juvenile/Female)

I'm thinking of buying them at boxing day for great sales prices, what would be a total price?( An estimate)

Every country is going to have different prices. Also depending in where you get the fish can change that as well. I have seen naokos go from anywhere of 100 to 200 just to give you a range. If I was really trying with that list maybe 700 to 800 here in the states. The lineatus, naoko, and flames are going to be the most expensive with the lineatus probably running 300 alone.

Are those the sale prices for Female ones!?

I live in Beijing and I'll be moving back to Canada next year so I'm only planning for the new tank I'll get in Canada. Anyways, it's too expensive to ship livestocks from Hong Kong.

As everyone mention
Every country is different if your in china
Hong Kong is your best bet.

That's why the Boxing Day reference ...
I don't know the price in Canada plus if its a year from now price will varies month to month sometimes week to week.

Not to be mean here, but you have already been given average prices for most of the fish listed here. Go onto liveaquaria.com to see what they sell the others for. However since you can't ship livestock in Canada, all of this is really pointless since you will be relying on whatever LFS is near you. Once you move back, get your tank setup and talk with your LFS, then come back here to double check prices or whatever. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time honestly.

Also, go here for more info on reef safe Wrasses: http://www.3reef.com/forums/tropical-fish/all-about-reef-safe-wrasses-122261.html

You have a couple on your list that you will want to remove after reading more about them...

Sorry, I meant to say you can't ship livestock across the border into Canada. I don't know about shipping livestock within Canada.

Actually you can ship livestock into Canada, there is a little bit of paperwork but several online retailers do ship from the US to Canada. Most fish do not fall under cites and the process is much simpler. Reefs to Go charge an additional 13.8% for the paperwork.

Price wise, in most cases I've found LFS here are comparably priced to LA and shipping within Canada is not an issue.

I'v alway thought of how you could ship livestocks from LA to Canada, could you explain more for me please?

LA (Live Aquaria) and Divers Den, sadly don't ship to Canada but I use their site for info and price comparison when at my local stores (Calgary). I understand iBluewater, Reefs 2 Go and NY Aquatics do ship to Canada but expect a premium. I have an order coming (hopefully?!) from R2G and will post my experience in the vendor forum when (if) it arrives.

I am looking into permit procedures for importing, perhaps if I set up paperwork beforehand, I can get other US retailers to ship.

Maybe when I move back next year I'll need your help to get the livestocks across the boarders.
