Wrasse Question

For my 75 gallon tank, I was thinking about getting a male (Clown Wrasse) and female Red Headed Fairy Wrasse. Will that work out? I haven't seen anyone ever have the pair in their tank, normally just one gender...

Thanks for the replies! :)

I had a pair for over a year, but the male managed to hit the top screen hard enough to lift it... Colors weren't that impressive, so I didn't replace it (blues seem to fade the most)
For the record...the female is often mis-identified, so make sure that you're getting a true pair, if that's what you want.

Thanks albano! I just thought it would be nice to have the pair, I can't really decide which wrasses I wanted, so I thought I might get the pair. I'm having trouble picking out nice wrasses to add to my tank :(

Wrasses dont really "pair". The roles.of male/female are defined by social situations. The female stays female because of displays/ chasing from the male. Often times in aquaria the female transitions to male even with a male present.

+1... I was suggesting looking for a 'true pair' so that the OP would try to buy both at the same time from the same supplier, increasing the odds that both are C. Solorensis
