Okay, 10 days ago my brand new wrasse (Some sort of red velvet head wrasse, extra colorful) dissapeared. He is in my 12 gallon nano, with a yellow coris wrasse and a wennera mantis shrimp. Now, the mantis only eats thawed krill fed by hand. He wont even kill a hermit crab. And he is maybe 3 1/2 to 4 inches tops, so we knew he couldn't have killed, much less eaten the entire fish (Which is bigger than him) that qickly. My mom fed the fish, which both ate, then fed the mantis. Thats what the fish dissapeared. We checked the filters top to bottom, the entire tank, even around the tank in case he had jumped out. No dice. After a few days we gave him up for dead. But now, about 10 days later, my dad noticed him in the filter (which I swear we checked really hard) He was very hungrey and a little frazzled, but alive! Now, my coris has jumped back there before, and within 30 minutes is gasping for oxygen. How the other wrasse survived 10 days with no supplemented food (I dont have many pods of any sort) and reduced oxygen is beyond me, but he is out and doing fine!
