Wrasses

So I finally got all my wrasse to live peacefully. Its been about a month or so and then all of a sudden my blue wrasse just disappeared..the day he didn't show up to eat I checked the rock work and he was in his little hole. I figure he was just still tired....then that night he was a no show as he wasn't in his hole either then yesterday and today he is still no show. I figure he died or got bullied to death. Same thing is happened to my yellow wrasse as well also my flame wrasse.

Tank mates:
Yellow yang
Sailfin tang
Large male anthias
Male carpenter
Male maccokers
Flame hawk
Pair of clowns

Tank size is 120 fatboy

Kinda bummed out now that this is happening.

I've never had an issue with flame hawks with wrasses. Wrasses are just so much faster, that they can easily get away. But what you are describing is definitely a sign of bullying. The problem is you have a few 'suspects' on your list. In most cases bullying of a wrasse comes from another closely related wrasse, however I have also seen tangs decide they don't like a particular wrasse for some reason. Usually, though aggression can be observed, whenever the victim tries to come out to feed or move about, the bully will quickly chase him back into hiding.

I had a flame hawk pick on a mystery wrasse that was in the tank before the flame.
Nothing relentless though so everyone lived happily ever after.

It was probably your Tangs doing the bullying. Tangs are generally recommended as the final addition due to their territorial behavior.
If you attempt again, try keeping the wrasse in an acclimation box for several days and observe aggression from the other fish towards the wrasse/box. Once aggression has disappeared you can add/release the wrasse in the DT. If aggression does not show any signs of stopping after a week, you're out of luck as the aggression will likely never stop.

Lastly, and I hate to be "tang police" here, but your tank is WAY too small for a Sailfin Tang, they generally need an 8' tank (some people have gotten away with one in a 6'): http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946079

Thanks for the replys and of course I already have some potential keepers for both my tangs. As of now the sailfin is doing fine so I'm ok with it being in there. I am also really consider removing both of the tangs and have a tangless tank.
Unfornately I have not seen the other wrasse reappear so I'm guessing it is dead. I guess once I catch the tang this weekend I will go out and search for another blues wrasse ...still brakes my heart knowing this one is gone.
