Does anyone have two electronic 150w MH ballasts for double ended lamps? How about the lamps?

I've got two 250W fixtures and I can't put the plastic canopy over the tank b/c I don't want to melt the canopy, so I think I will lower the wattage rather than risk it. Anyone have two ballasts? DE lamps?...

Not looking for magnetic, single ended, or ballasts with remoting distances less than 7' as I have the ballasts in the stand. Let me know.

you are much better off keeping the 250w MH and removing the plastic canopy all together.

Better air/gas exchange at the surface of the water,
better heat control(not overheating the tank),
easier to access corals, etc.
easier to feed
easier to change water and add evap water
and on and on and on...

Think about it, try it for a month with the canopy off and see how you like it.

acm, the canopy has been off for two years! I like it just fine, and it looks OK, but I'm about to try and sell the house and I want the tank to look great since it's in my living room.

from 250w to 150w you have to change the sockets also
