WTB: 75G tank

I am thinking about upgrading my 75 to a 200 ish this summer. I'd like to get an old 75 that I can set up in my basement to temporarily move all my existing fish/coral into without worrying about rushing. It needs to be a 75 so I can fit my hood and lighting onto it. It doesn't have to be in beautiful shape as long as it doesn't leak.

I'd be happy to buy, or borrow or rent for a couple of months.

TIA,
Scott

Hey Scott...did you ever consider getting one of those rubbermaid feed tubs? I was thinking about how I'm going to move and keep things alive when I rebuild and I was considering taking my rubbermaid tub and just sitting my tank hood right on it...secured a bit, of course.

I haven't fully thought out all the pros and cons, but it's the direction I'm leaning.

Hi Kevin, I've tried to think of a bunch of things! mostly without success. The main reason I was thinking of a 2nd tank is that I can just move my hood right onto it without worrying about securing it, or worrying the tub melting, and I could still see in to make sure everyone is alive still... But a tub would be cheaper, I'm sure.

I dunno, but if I'm going to do this this summer then I figure I'd better get moving.

I have a 50gal rubbermaid stock tank I can lend you if you want. I also can lend you a tank, its not a 75gal but it is 4 ft long. I think its 100gals. Its just like the one that I donated to the raffle at the last swap. Just a thought.

Hi Rick, thanks for the offers. What's the width on the tank? If it's 4' x 18" and just tall, then it would fit my hood from my 75 perfectly.

Thanks!
