WTB: a digital ph tester

i want to buy a digital ph tester perferably a hanna, anyone have one or have any comments? im sick of trying to distiguish between green and green with my current tube test kit.

I've got a NIB pHep 4 that a buddy backed out on, Brand new, w/ solutions $55.00. That's a pH and Temp meter..

I am also tired of using the PH color chart trying to determine where my PH range fits in. And most to the time, the color from the tube solution doesn't match well with any of the ranges from the chart so I ended up guessing.

Before I buy this expensive PH digital device, I would like to understand the cost of owning one, beyond the initial cost. Could some one explains to me what is the cost for owner one of these devices. How often should be PH electrode be replaced ( this part in it self is quite expensive). How often does it need to be calibrated, etc.

He is doing great in a 90g all by himself. He is a beauty and quite fun to keep. I love feeding him the most. I would hold on to one end of a piece of mussel and he would try to pull it away from the other end.... Until he is really mad and go for my fingers.... Then I would let it go to avoid his sharp teeth .
