WTB: A lot of aragonite sand

Okay, so, I finally got my 180G tank plumbed and ready. Now I need a whole crap-load of aragonite sand to put in the bottom. I'm looking for previously unused sand, probably about 200lbs. If anyone can help with knowledge on where to find, or if you have some you could sell, that'd be great. I'm looking for closer to Southdown prices rather than CaribSea.

Thanks for any info I can find. Again, just to sum up, I want previously unused aragonite sand in the quantity of about 200 pounds.

find yourself a homedepot that has Southdown sand (its aragonite but its considered playground sand and is like 3.50 for 50 pounds) problem is finding a store that has it.

oops, missed you didnt want carribsea.

Heres an interesting little report someone posted about southdown sand from homedepot

Did some research, the new brand name for southdown is Old Castle.

I would just call home depot and ask them if they have any in stock, I'm about to run to the HD in lake mary, and I'll see if they have any.

Old Castle is no longer. they lost their supplier over three years ago.
mflmab How was the stuff you got from aragonitesource.com?

I didn't buy from them. I bought from a guy on RC called "treeman". He only sells to you if you have a business license and tax id. I bought almost 3200 lbs from him through a LFS in Pompano Beach.

Hrmm, I'm looking into starting my own business, just for wholesale sake. The good things are always only available to businesses. BTW you do not have to be a fish store business, just have a tax cert.
