hey guys and gals, I am looking for a minilight to fit on a 2.5 gal tank- so a something that will fit 12"x6"x8" TIA

Not sure if this helps or not but a friend of mine that had a pico tank that was i think 3 gallons just had a reguar desklamp with one of the Coralife 50/50 bulbs in it.
Kinda ghetto, but it seemed to work well.

Yea that's the right bulb- I think they are like $12 at Petco, although I got them off of Foster and Smith for $8 or 9 when I had a 5 gal.
Not sure what kind of desklamp it was- I think you'd just have to look for one with a large socket, since most of them just hold those little bulbs. I think he said he found it at Walmart? Sorry not much help there
