WTB: Achilles Tang

I am looking for a 5 to 7 inch Achilles Tang that has been established for sometime in a tank. I am not looking for a retailer to get me a fish rather I am looking for an established fish that has been in a tank for several months.

I would appreciate positive posts......the point of this thread is to hopefully find a healthy Achilles.

I did actually find a three inch Achilles in NYC area but my concern is that my other tangs would bully him at that size. The guy had him for over a year.

I don't think it would be impossible to find one. Someone may have one and it's outgrowing their tank, much like Kent D's sohal (gorgeous fish).

Don't care to hear how tough it is to find them. That was not the purpose of me posting....to hear everyone's wise-@#$ comments about how i wont find it.

I actually have a lead on one now, hope it turns out to be a find for me.

You going to the swap? I have heard of the "other Kent" and your nice setup on URS but never crossed paths

i know you are looking for one that has been in a n established tank, but ARC in buffalo usually has one or two in stock and when they do they have them for a long time, you may want to give them a call and see how long they have had their current ones, i know they always have beautiful healty achillies in that store,, me personally i got mine online when they were very hard to find, i have had mine for over 2 years, and it is doing great so dont be afraid to order from a reputable dealer if it comes to it, if you want info on where i got mine you can pm me, but if you must i would deffinately reccomend arc

Thanks and I agree regarding ARC. Randy, Chris, Chris, John and the rest of the crew are great and Randy's stock is second to none in western NY / Rochester area store with good quality livestock/corals. Divers Den is another option, they do have them but from time to time but your paying for the 14 day warranty. Thanks for the input. Just have had friends with mixed results with shipped Achilles. I am replacing my sohal that I had for years and want that next awesome higher end tang.

One of my buddies has a six plus inch Achilles from Divers Den. Paid top dollar and had battled with ich for the first six weeks but has settled in. He has many tangs in his 180 gallon tank but it was the biggest in the tank. He has had it for six months plus now and going strong.
