I am interested in getting a BTA for my 30gallon Shallow rimless that has two clowns in it and AI SOL Lighting. Just wondering if anyone on here has any that has split and willing to sell. Please let me know.

I dont have any right now but am looking as well. I was at LivingReef Orlando (the new store in waterford) and they have a great selection of anemones, mostly bubble tips, including a beautiful rainbow one. Why don't you try them out.

are the rainbow bubble tips new? I'd never seen them before until last week.

They just look like a RBTA with some green mixed in around the edge.

I was hesitant to pull the trigger because i wasn't sure if the colors would actually remain over time.

The rainbow bubble tips have a green base with orange and red tentacles with pink tips. It has been there for a couple months and seems like it is getting more color every day. With the right lighting (LED or preferred t5) It shouldn't lose its color, the colors will get brighter with the right feedings and tank parameters. And for only $120, thats a steal seeing prices reaching over $300 on most websites.

I have an RBTA that just split a few weeks back. Might be interested in selling one if interested though I've never tried to remove one from the rocks. LMK

There are a few ways to romove from rocks. My main way is lift the rock out of the water but leave the main part of the nem in the water.. then massage the foot till it drops

If i were you i wouldn't got to top shelf. They have many diseases. They infected my 400g reef with, Flatworms, marine velvet, worms. And thats just what i can see. They also killed my most cherished picas. He had super picasso markings and a beautiful spartan helmet on him.And i am only one of many orlando hobbyists that are victims...

You know I have only gone in that store once and I really wasn't impressed with the livestock or the service. Small store and there was really only like one other customer but I didn't get asked if I needed anything until I was about out the door.

I personally would rather go to a number of other stores that have healthier looking livestock and have better customer service. Sadly you are not the first person I have heard complain of getting some baddies from there either.

I've been to top shelf and have yet to get marine velvet. That disease is not the easiest to identify. I have a yasha goby which is doing just fine. Eating like a pig, I love the little guy.

Randy how did you know it was Marine Velvet (Amyloodinium ocellatum)? Considering it kills within a day or 2. So due to the fish mortality within a day or two, the fish will show signs of rapid gill movement. Also it looks alot like ich which confused with marine velvet. The disease is extremely contagious so all the fish in their system should be dead or dying. But I've seen fish there for weeks with no sign of sickness. So I'm sure it's not marine velvet.

Since your a young teen reefer I wouldn't jump to conclusions so fast. It's always best to do more research otherwise it can kill you fish. I saw your other thread with the carpet nem in your avatar and you were having problems with it, bleaching and such. I would check your water parameters first before you start pointing fingers.
