only a 50 gallon FW tank I like to overrate equipment but that filter would suck the scales of the fish.

Lol allright. I do the same, and ran it with an AC110 on my 90, but most likely it would still be too large for your application, I'm debating putting it on the 55, and loading it with media to reduce flow, but haven't yet for the same reason you mentioned.

I've got a Fluval 404 that is in my way. It works but could use a new impeller plate. I'd take 30 bucks let me know.

Not to crash, but what type of pump/how big is the wetdry? What did you have it set up on? I am looking as well...
