WTB Canister filter.

Hey, Donny. Good to see you posting. :D

I have an Eheim 2217 that is about 10~12 years old and is gathering dust in my garage right now. I have the media dividers and quick-disconnects for it. It has slow-drip cross-thread leak on the return line that I tried to repair by tightening down the connector, but to no avail. It will likely need a new cover piece which I think runs about $20 at Aquarium (or did when I last checked about 2 years ago).

I'll sell it for $25 if you want something like this. I'll even toss in the ceramic hex-rings if you want them.

Thanks Scott! Unfortunately I will have to pass on your filter. I was looking at something a little newer and bigger hopefully. Thanks. I'd love to get a eheim is I can afford one. :D

Dave, glad the mantis is still rocking. I would love to see pictures of it sometime. Oh hey, if I can't find a used filter, could I use my store credit to order one through you? Thanks.

haha, I was looking for a bigger canister that can hold a larger water volume. You would probably never believe me if I told you what it is for. But it will be for my one and only aquarium for a while. :p

Scott - haha, no, there is no secret project. I didn't think you would believe me if I said I wanted the biggest canister filter I could find for a 3g tank.

:)

Heh. Not so hard to believe as you would think. About 9 years ago, I lived in a hotel for my first month here in Knoxville. I had all my fish and plants in a 10G tank on the counter with that Eheim 2217 circulating the water. I freaked out a one type of fish and killed them with the move/current, but the rest came through okay. If they stopped swimming above the rock line, they would start circling the bowl like Nemo going down the drain... ;)

Yeah, its probably a stupid idea, but there aren't too many smart ideas that are going into this set up. It's an experiment.
