WTB Chiller for 500 gal system

As you can see from the photos I have 2 fans in the sump. I just realized I could take off the panels up top to accommodate the fans. After taking off the panels up top the temperature went down 1/2 a degree. Hopefully with a couple of fans it will come down 2-3 degrees.
 
Those fans in the sump wont do anything significant ....place them on the DT about 4 in from the water blowing directly across it almost directly facing the water with just a slight tilt and you will be amazed at the difference....
 
they do better with the larger surface area....if you have a vent in your sump area and an external pump you can vent some of the heat from it.....remember the heat exchange that is taking place and cooling your system is from the evaporation taking place .....you need this is an optimal area with the large surface area of the DT .....the sump doesn't offer much for this and its closed up so small with heat most likely from the pump it will not be as efficient as on the DT and most of the time its a waste in the sump area

Thankfully I'm not looking for a chiller anymore. I placed a couple fans in the canopy which took out the need for a chiller.
