WTB: cleaner crews

I have a 55 gallon tank. I only have 2 turbo snails and 3 red leg hermits, and 2 narcissus. I am looking to buy more cleaner crews.

Do you know anywhere I can buy like a package deal?

Hello and welcome!

Are you looking for a deal at the LFS (Local Fish Stores), or are you looking more along the lines of an internet deal?

I do know that there are sites in which sell cleaner crew packages, but in regards to a LFS selling a package....unsure.

Someone else on the board might know though.

Again, welcome!

Locally PetVet in Midwest City at S.E. 15Th & Lockheed that is 1 mile north of I-40 and 1/4 mile east of Air Depot on the southwest corner. Across from Mc Donalds. John

I have $75 worth of bad things to say too. hehehehe

Aquarium Concepts on N 50th and Macarthur has deals like 6 for $10 for little critters and blue leg hermits are cheaper than that. I just bought Nassarius snails Astria snails and red leg hermits from them and considering shipping costs and loss and hassle it was a decent deal

welcome to the forum, these guys and gals know all!!! I buy all of mine at a LFS, but that is because i can trust in the owner and they will give me a refund on stuff that dies and there on.... but a lfs, depending on the person, usually doesnt give package deals, but hey, you cant be told no unless you ask right!?

Thanks for all the replies. I will check with LFS first. I think it is good to support LFS. I guess the closest one I can check with is wetpets. you guys are very helpful

I have heard the good and the bad about garf as well. In the long run, I believe more of the bad then the good.

And if all else fails, there website is the most horrid thing on the face of the earth........

we did a group buy, i wanted to examine what was in Grunge.

Apart from some ceramic tile, a piece of house brick and some rubber that looked like the sole of a shoe.....i found nothing at all. not even copepods. I wrote to them with my concern that maybe shipping in winter in a bag with no heat source may have been detrimental. They advised I wait. Nothing ever happened.

The grunge was full of shells, but a lot looked fw aquarium gravel.

several of us were in on thta buy. I bought 5lbs to test it.

on the other side, i did buy frags from them years and years ago. they were the tiniest things i have seen (bout quarter inch), but they grew extremely well, ine was the valida nd the other was nana.

I forget the name of it but it is the stuff that is more expensive than grunge plus I bought grunge. The grunge was like Paul said, mostly aquarium sand. The more expensive stuff had no life in it and was mostly tiny pieces of shale and some mud that looked mostly like detritus. I have waited as Paul did and there was nothing alive in it. The best thing to do to get life is get a cup of sand from a few different people with tanks you trust.

I was frags they sold to someone else and they were super tiny, 1/4 inch at most. About 1/2 of the ten they bought were dead. It would not be too much of a problem but if you do have a problem with them, unlike they say on their site, they refuse to back up what they sell.

i like my plan for cleaner crews, i simply go to every fish store in okc on the weekends and if I see something I want I get it. =o)
sales and specials and livestock changes so often it hard to recommend just one.

I am looking for a Scutus a.k.a. elephant slug, black and white limpet. These critters supposedly eat bryopsis (a nuisance macro algae.) I have checked with several lfs to see if they can get one in. So far, the answer is no.

Another reef central forum suggested Seacrop http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=887825&perpage=25&pagenumber=2 Has anyone here done business with them. My problem is that they want $40 to ship a $6 critter. 1 to 40 lbs is $40. So I am trying to come up with 20lbs of things to buy and someone to go halvsies. Anyone interested?

They have all kinds of cleaners.
