WTB - Custom Stand for 280

Chair, MACNA 2014
I know there are several folks out there who build nice stands. I'm looking for a stand to support a new 280 (Acrylic), 96"L x 20"W x 34"H.

Estimating about 30" +/- on stand height. Materials are up for discussion. Interested in a two piece design (left/right) for ease of getting to the basement.

Suggestions or direct experience with local builders wanted please. Feel free to respond here or drop me a PM or e-mail.

My Crosshatch's and Sohal need a new home... if only they'd stop growing!! :)

Thanks,

-Rob

You know, Rob, that you could save a little time and a lot of money by just plugging that basement floor drain and filling 'er up...within a year or two, the furniture should make a nice artificial reef.

Funny you should mention that. I was thinking that if I epoxied the floor and walls, removed the outlets and hung 1000 watt bulbs from the rafters..... I could have one heck of a snorkel spot!

Think I could charge admission??? :)

Rob,

I don't know if I would trust doing a two piece design unless you could incorporate some sort of bracing/locking mechanism to really hold them together.............ESPECIALLY with acrylic.

I would be more than willing to help you design a stand and plan the build for you..........heck I'll even help you on a slow weekend if you want, I've got lots of nice tools! Check my gallery I think there is still a pic of my 135 stand in there............simple but stout.
