wtb: flexible tubing 1"

Where can I find that white flexible tubing that people used under their tanks?
I only need about 3 feet as my sump is in the tank stand.

home depot or lowes has it in stock always .lowes is better as far as keeping up on their stockin plumbing though so check them out first .
your looking for 1" flexable clear vynil tubing correct ?

I think what I'm looking for is Spaflex.
I had the clear stuff in my hands but the sizes don't match so I couldn't glue it. Maybe I need to look by the bath tubs instead of in plumbing .

Lowes has better inventory, look in plumbing. The spaflex glues to regular PVC fittings, clear stuff uses barbs.

If you are looking for good flow check the flow rate calculator on 1" versus 1 1/4, suprising increase on flow with 1 1/4, especially as the distance goes up

Any pool store has it.....Check for pricing...it ranges.

I use it and love it.

I've found that Lowe's carries Spaflex. Home Depot does not.

yup lowes has some but they usually only have the larger sizes at my store . i have not seen any 1" there ever .cant hurt to check it out though as different stores have different sizes sometimes ,ya never know .

I went to pool mart today, they have something similar but still not spaflex. Their stuff can not be glued. I ended buying a pool for the kids instead. :spin1:

Off to Lowes tomorrow... If I can't find it there, I will buy it online from Savco.

If there is one thing this hobby has taught me about hardware stores, it's that Lowes always has a much larger, more organized selection of plumbing parts. Glad you found the Spaflex you needed! :thumbsup:

Since you bought a pool and a SW enthusiasts we try to save $ heres a HUGE tip that will save you hundreds a year. I use it in my hot tub and used it in my pool until last year.

I used to work for pool mart in Olean and I would go this route or with a SW chlorine generator.
