Hello all,
After a many-years long hiatus from the hobby, I'm jumping back in with a large (8x4) mangrove-based display aquarium. I have found a couple of Florida nurseries that have agreed to legally supply the ~3 foot mangroves. All additional grasses, invertebrates, and vertebrates will be biotope-specific.
I'm looking for someone who would be willing to collect some (a bucket full?) lagoonal mud and ship to Texas. I'm willing to pay for your time, and of course, shipping. Don't worry, I don't believe a permit is necessary to collect sediment and bacteria
The plan is combine the lagoonal (eg, IRL) sediment with the usual dry substrate (ie, sand). I suppose I could collect something similar on the Texas coast, but I'd like to keep this build as "authentic" as I possibly can.
Any takers? Suggestions?
