Just bought a 55g (48" footprint) drilled tank and need to pick up some hardware in order of importance:

1. lights (will take recommendations, not looking to grow SPS)
2. return pump
3: skimmer

Can't wait to get this tank up and running!

If your not keeping SPS, I have a used power compact light for a 55 gal.
I think it is this one

I just replaced (2) of the bulbs at the LFS. (The LFS charged me $120 for just (2) bulbs, grr.)
The other (2) bulbs are only a few months old. There are (2) 10k, (1) 50/50 and (1) actinic. Sorry they don't match but the LFS is only capable of overcharging for the light bulb, not putting the correct one in my bag.
Does $80 sound ok? Less then the darn bulbs :(.

Does anyone have any experience with Current USA PowerCompact Orbit fixtures and lights? I am looking at the PC light fixture (260W total) with 4 lunar lights

OR....

Hamilton 48" 2x175 watts with 2x55 watt PC retrofit

So far those are my two offers. Would love T5s but not sure that it's in the budget

I have a 36" Power compact setup with 2 96 watt bulbs, 1 - 10,000k and 1 - actinic I need to get rid of, Asking $100

Bought this last night on CL for $180

Odyssea 48 inch Metal Halide and PC combo with moon lights

Thanks you for all your offers.

FYI, those odyssea lights have a reputation of burning out and catching on fire.
