In anticipation of the November meeting and associated auction, I thought I might encourage things a bit by laying out some items I am looking for:
Fish:
- Buddha Cardinal
- Wrasses: velvet, fairie, flasher (preferrably juveniles, but flexible)
- Flame Angel

Coral: Strong color is the only important feature, so far I have purchased small but intensely colored shrooms, ricordia, and tube worms
- Frogspawn,
- Hammer coral
- Torch
- Zoas
- Not sure of name, looks like an amazingly itnense orange colt coral.
- Bubble coral
- Frilly shrooms
- etc etc.

Equipment
- 150 - 250 MH light Getting ready to upgrade from the PC
- All equipment necessary to set up a 20G high office tank. Light, tank, pumps, etc. Still planning, but ready to get started.

I'll keep that in mind fishnugget, but I am having some second thoughts on the tank size. Reevaluating this week, may end up going with a 16 or 18 inch cube instead.

Oteomata, Just a word of advice, do some research on the flame angel, IME they are not reefsafe at all, sooner or later he will turn to corals and eat them. This fishes are among the most beautiful in the trade and very easy to find but they are not to be trust!

Wow. I had heard they were almost identical to Coral Beauty's in temperment and activity. I will do some more research.

I have seen flame angels go both ways. I have seen some that are NOT reef safe, and some that appear to do fine.

I have an Iwasaki 6500k 250w bulb with ballast and capacitor... no reflector or socket. Used but still works good, about 9 months 4hrs per day. $30
