WTB LOCAL : Small frags ( small ) *new tank pics also*

Thanks to loyalty I picked up a awesome starter prop tank as this is something i have wanted to do for a few years now.

WTB small frags ( 2-3 heads ) of zoos and pallys to seed my little farm and get it going.

Wish I had something to trade but as we just moved here from CA and I was forced to sell off all my live stock as it just would not make a week 1/2 trip out here the 100 gallon and this tank are both without a single coral. Here is what the display looked like before added a bunch of zoos and finally built my sump so no making fun of the HOB skimmer

The tank is only 6" deep and has 2 PC lights above it about 4" above the water line so I think about anything will work and grow in there except sps of course but even then the tank is REALLY bright having such a short water depth so who knows.

I have built the rack for the frags to sit on and put a little sand in there to check out the water flow patterns. One nice thing is all the sand , LR and water came from the main display so cycling isnt a issue really. Still wondering if and what I should put in there for a clean up crew but if it really is needed since no fish are going in there.

Anyways I am home all day durning the week and mostly on the weekends so LMK if you have something that will work. I can pick up within a reasonable distance.

And although I do say "I" a lot in this post it is really my youngest sons tank and he couldnt be happier when he walked through the door from school today and saw it.

If you want to drum up more business, I think you need to have another picture of him before he got the tank. Mess up his hair, smear some dirt on his face, have him hold a dirty, one armed teddy bear, and put on the puppy dog eyes.

Seriously though, I have a bunch of little frags in my frag tank right now. Many of them are not as happy as they could be because of the crappy light we have on the tank (I ended up with more frags after the chatty swap and just haven't had the time to try to deal them out). The meeting is at my place this month, so if you can make it I can probably hook you up with something. I have mostly SPS in there, but you said they might not do well, in which case I also have kenya tree, devil's hand, and some xenia if I recall correctly. If you can't make the meeting, let me know.

Nice looking tanks!

I have a purple tipped frogspawn frag, and I have a smallish piece of hammer that I think I could frag a head off of (I haven't had it that long) if you are interested. I also have some zoos that I could frag. You could swing by and take a look.

I'm near cool springs mall, so I'm not too terribly far away.

That could be arranged :lol: It is seriously his tank though and he is starting to become quite the little reefer. And the pics were mainly for momma to see while she was at work.

Yah I really dont know about the SPS but if it didnt do well it could be put into the main and just still be put under his charge where he could reach it for feedings.

Xenia i would figure would do awesome in this tank setup ! And we both love the grabing motion is makes.

I am really proud of his reef keeping. He does his own water changes , aquascaping placement of frags and feedings. I dont know if it is more him or more the equipment but I had to buy from frags off of him last time for the display they looked so good. His last tank was a 8 gallon Bio cube which daddy could not be more proud of the way it looked it not a bit jeolous Not too bad for a 5 y/o Maybe I should give him the 100 and take the prop tank instead

By th e way what kind or brand of light fixture is that exactly. I got about 4 of those little tanks brand new just sitting here empty & I like the way the light sits on it perfectly. Time for a high end zoa prop tank/ Getting ready for the Jan frag swap.

The LF is a coral life Deluxe with moon lights. Yah it fits really nice and swivles up which will let him attend his babies easily. I am breaking up a few peices of my LR tonight for him and he can put that in the tank. Right now he wants to do water testing ....... PM sent after I satisfy his reefness's needs

Pics of our super reefchild We just got done with water testing. Maybe it was all the trips to the beach and the Montrey Bay aquarium when momma was pregy with him He Rocks man !

(*Disclaimer - All chemicals with testing where supervised by an Adult. In some case chemicals such as testing fluids were poured by the adult and kept harmless from the child. Just for the one person out there that worry over this. He was safe and knows what he is doing and had dad right there the whole time. No worries )
