wtb: neon gobies... fishes that eats ich

ugh... i know... i used to get them there all the time for $10ish... but it seems like none of them have any in my area... which one's have them? i looked at the 3 closest to my house (westminster, huntington beach, fountain valley)

Im in the valley. Porter Ranch?

Anyway call the local petcos and ask them when they get their shipments in. You'll get lucky if you go in on shipment day;)

pco is out of stock, the unethical distributor of aquatic life for pco in the socal area is out of stock, I know because I have their entire ordering stock lists. shimpents happen thrurdays,

yes, and the don't starve if there's no ich left to eat, unlike cleaner wrasses. however, cleaner wrasses seem to go after it and eat it more aggressively.

im glad.. i just bought a cleaner wrasse for $5... i didnt know in fact that it would eat Ich... vert nice to know... my cleaner wrasse eats brine as well... happy i dont need to cause a Ich Outbreak in order to keep him fed :)

A cleaner wrasse will not be able to clean a fish smaller than itself. Reason; the fish will be scared if someone twice the size is cleaning it, or ripping dead tissue off its body. They are to agressive for small sensitive fish that need a cleaning.

Cleaner shrimp, and neon gobies are the best for the all fish even monster huge tangs. My cleaner wrasse is only able to clean my big tang.:(

lucky me then... i got a small one (little less then 1 inch) ... HOW BIG DO THESE THINGS GET! the only fish in my tank that wont let him clean are my chromis and 6 line wrasse... :p but thanks for the education on him Sam... i didnt know why till now... i was considering getting 2 neon gobies... but when i get my Grouper in, wont he eat them?

If the grouper is smart he wont eat the wrasse. He knows he'll be benefiting from it as well the wrasse.

Shouldnt be a problem. My neighber keeps a few cleaner wrasse's with some puffers and a huge snapper. He doesnt get lucky with cleaners shrimp in his system though, they seem to dissapear:D

if the fish looks at him and think "this guy is too small to be a meal worthy of my efforts to catch him" then yes it would probably be safe
