WTB new tank

I am looking for a large acrylic tank, probably 200-400 gallons.

I have looked at:
http://www.aquartaquariums.com/
http://www.aquatictech.com/At_tanks2.htm

But have not looked at any other vendors within 300 miles. Right now I am looking through classifieds hoping to get a break, if that doesn't work, I will go with one of the above vendors eventually.

BTW - does anyone have experience lighting 24" wide x 30" height or 24" height x 30" wide with halides? I worry 24" wide and 30" high means most of the light will go out the sides, and 30" wide at 24" high will leave darkness along the edges.

I wouldn't go with a 30 high. I had a 31 high and hated it. reaching the bottom was a total pain in the..... Shorter and wider or longer would be the way to go in my opinion. Ben's tank is perfect if you ask me for 300g.

I've seen the 30 high complaint before with 24 and 30 width tanks and even from folks with long arms. Although I think the wet armpits would still be worth it.

As far as the light spread. Lumen Arcs reflectors apparently give the largest spread. If you go 400's it should not have any dark edges. Maybe that's a search/posted question for the folks in the large tanks forum.

If interested I have a 6'x3'x2' acrylic tank. Approximate 300. I was hoping to make a sps tank out of it, but it's not looking like I'll be able to set it up anytime soon. I have a baby on the way and looking at going back to school. PM me if interested.
