Have any of you guys dealed with http://www.glasscages.com or even heard of them . I was looking at there selection and was wondering if they are good or bad. I just saw that they can drop ship to madison and I have been wanting a bigger tank for a while now. Thanks

there are lots of threads here on RC. mixed bag of reviews. i'd have to say more on the negative side though. i've had no dealings with them myself, just read about them enough.

i just read some where that if you get one of the larger tanks from class cages that they are the better ones. maybe cuz they put the people with more experiance on those, but the 90 warrenty has me worried, yep only 90 day.

I know of quite a few people from the Madison area who were happy with their glass cages tanks. There was one thing they said to do to gurantee a good tank but I can't recall what that was. I will try to see if I can find it.

yeah i just cant see stocking a tank that cant trust........Nothing like getting up to a empty tank and a smit load of time and money on the floor.

Thanks Ebrabender if you can find out let me know! and thanks customcolor also I was looking at the 150 gallon wide.

My All Glass leaked at 6mos old. (tank was from before they became Aqueon and supposedly when they built good tanks) :mad2:

My opinion now is that there's no 100% trusting ANY tank. It's just a matter of how much trust you want to put into the tank you buy. Put what trust you do have into the most reputable hands you can find.

Been there - done that - hopefully will never have to do it again. :bum:

one good thing about class cages is that the bottom pain of glass is NOT tempored. this would make it easyer to drill the bottom for a closed loop. not being a tempored bottom is i think why the recomend a stiff foam pad under the tank to suport the weight better and cusion the bottom from any imperfections in the wood under the foam.

Squid,....remember your tank leak COULD have ben caused by your slate floor being uneven.

Could be - but the amount it was off was far less than what All Glass gave me as a tolerance when I called and asked questions on that. All the same, mine wasn't the first tank ever to leak. :p

Too bad Oceanics aren't semi-bulletproof like they were years ago. :mixed:

sorry,
3 new 14k bulb
aquacontroller jr
phosban reactor
6ft light and bellast
tank,stand,sump
skimmer

ALL FOR $1,200

i'm seriously considering buying a tank from them as well. i will likely be ordering it next month for january delievery. i have read the reviews as well
it seem that the polished edges could be better and the workmenship on the silcone could be better but most people who actually had a tank from them said it was worth it
I guess for me it was price i looked at miracles out of toronto and they are suppose to be the best as far as quality goes but the same tank would cost me more then 50% more and on a tank like this that is a lot of money and obviously zero edge and elos are way out of my price range

i still haven't made the confirmation call to them but as of today i am def leaning toward them - so if it happens well i will have first hand experience i can relate then

Johnanddawm if you do go with them let me know how it all went. And ziggy idk when it will be coming home I think it might be a x-mas present to myself with my x-mas bonus if it is big enough.
