Hi I'm looking for a chiller for my 75 gal tank or maybe a good dyi project looked around the site couldn't really find and good one can some one help out

Thought I saw one on craig's list in buffalo. They are a last resort in my book. Fans for increasing evap can be very affective.

I agree with Randy. The only reason you need a chiller is if you can't open a window, run the AC, or blow a fan across your sump.

The only reason I have a chiller on my classroom aquarium is that there is no air conditioning and nobody to open a window. Ambient temp in the room is easily 95 degrees on a day like today.

Also, chillers are definitely not a DIY project, (unless you're an HVAC guy...)

I used to have a chiller. I sold it :)

Keep in mind you'll need to vent a chiller to an area away from the aquarium.

+1 to a fan. I currently have a 75G and my tank never got over 80 today. I just use a fan to increase evaporation when it gets this hot. Try a fan first.

Ok thks guys yea the biggest problem I have is the tanks on the second floor and there's only one window in the room so it's usually over 80 in the room bc of the tank but I do have a cabinet fan running on it now might just have to angle it better.

I would love to have a window ac for the room but I have a poor designed window there vericle window not horizontal. I can barley fit out it if there was a fire and need to escape lol
