Hey Ciro that is an excellent fish to have. I HAD mine for a few years he was an excellent reef inhabitant. He finally jumped ship this week. I am not sure why. They are pretty smart too, always finding little things to amuse themselves.

Good luck in finding one, it should be pretty easy.

I just got one a month ago and he just got out of qt and went into the tank. If you want a fish that swims around for a reason then that is the fish. Lotsa personality.

Are invertebrates like my scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp and the blood red fire shrimp safe around a six line? Both shrimps are family.

Thanks,

My sixline was pretty safe with the shrimps of all sorts. He never tried to harm them. I have sexy shrimp, anemone shrimp, pom pom crabs, peppermints, skunk cleaners. My wrasse was of fair size too he was about 3 inches long, very peaceful and nice fish.

I've always heard they are fairly aggressive...Ive always wanted one but shyed away from them for that reason. I've been thinking about getting the hawaiin 4 line wrasse which looks similar but from what Ive heard are less aggressive..

the sixline is real agressive w/ wrasses like flashers and fairies from what i have read. particularly ones that are the same color.

i agree i have heard that the fourlines are not as agressive.

i have a 4 line, awesome fish. also had a 6 line before it jumped.

both tend to be aggressive with new inhabitants for a little while when i first introduced them.

has never bothered any snails, shrimps or crabs ever.

i like how they just hover around trying to find pods, there striped eye is so cool!

Agree 100 % in fact better fish better temperament. IMO
Maybe Mr. Wrasse aka Roger has something to add.

Introduce it as one of your last fish.....although they may look small they tend to size fellas up twice their size...

I have had mine for about 9 months and he/she is definitely a great addition...very active and provides great movement in a dt.

would it be safe for me to put him in my tank. i have a hippo tang, black perc., false perc, and a damsil that just wont die. lol jk.
oh and i just got a blood red shrimp and a yellow dotted goby.
please tell me that it is ok. LOL

I plan on getting a 6 line once my sps tank is up and running. From what I hear they eat alot of kritters that you would prefer not to have in your tank. I never heard about them being aggresive. Anyone else on this subject that knows more and jump in.

i know i read that they eat crabs. and i need my crabs. LOL is this the truth.

I never heard that they eat crabs before... The only ones I have seen were between 1 1/2 inches to 3 inches with small mouths. When I said critters I ment like some pods/ flatworms/ maybe small nudibranches. The bad kritters

I hope that helps.

I will be getting one for my sps tank so I wouldnt be worried.
