I can bring some to the next meeting, 15-20 in a container. Free to MARS members, $10 otherwise. I have a little pod farm in a 10g. If you put them right into a display tank with fish, they will get eaten before they can get established. They will breed like crazy in a fuge or small tank without fish.

I have normal copeopods but after I added my hawk fish he decimated the population, and that was before I had a fuge.

Now I need to get a few amphipods to seed the fuge.

I really really want to get a Mandarin, but I want to make sure I have a constant food source before I consider it.

there was a place online near seattle that sold them by the bottle in concentrate I saw recently....like two hundred or so for $25.......but however.....you already have some if you have live rock, start dosing your tank with phyto and watch the explosion take place.

If you really want a mandarin, you really need to find the above.....they will tear through what you have in a week or so....

What I meant to say was that I wanted to learn how to culture my own, so I could support a Mandarin long term. I have live rock, but I have not been dosing much with Phyto as I was battling a nasty batch of algae.

You guys should ask Gresham if he's coming to the meeting for Eric Borneman, he may be able to bring you guys up some bottles packed with various pods of your choice if he is.
