WTB Tek light T5HO Mounting Legs or Hanging Kit

I don't know what the hanging kit requires, but If you haven't seen them before rachet ropes are amazing.

Yeah that's my next step if I cant find either, I just really wanted the legs if I could find em. The location of my tank is not really hanging kit possible but was going to make the conduit brackets and suspend that way.

The legs are pretty hard to come by. I found a set on one of the other forums, but I paid almost as much for the legs as the whole light. You could make a set of very nice legs out of 80/20 from grainger with local pick up. I might actually have enough left to put a set together if you're interested.

Yeah not sure what 80/20 is but am interested in what you mean. Any way to show an example of what youre talking about?

You can get these but not sure if the same ones I purchased for my 8 bulb TEK fixture.. My need to research if they fit

Then you can use this product to hang using the back of the stand.. Hope this helps! I had my 75gal done this way..

I gave it a try with some conduit and bent it to make the hangers. Not to super pleased with the overall look and 3/4" conduit may be overkill for a 24" Tek Light. Ill throw in the caps, cut down the screws, and paint the hangers black and see how it looks. May try 1/2" next and see how it looks. I will however be ordering the Current USA kit to try out on another light, totally didn't think to try a different brand to make it possibly work.

Paint the conduit so it won't stand out much!

I think if you do those three things it will loo pretty solid! I actually like the look of the conduit if it was painted black and capped...

Yeah I'm going to tonight. I have flat black enamel as well as semi gloss. Quick rough sand, some primer, sand again, and hit with a few coats. As for the eye bolts, I actually have shorter ones but may stick out still to far. Saw another guys conduit d.i.y setup and he used rounded over nuts that sit but much cleaner looking. I will be giving those a try also.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. 80/20 is this:

I unfortunately dont have enough left to make a full set but would be happy to build them for you if you pick up a portion of the material.
