Wtmrac "frag Swap" 2008

Well The 2nd Frag swap is now History!! I certainly hope that everyone that attended had a good time and got some of the goodies that they wanted for there tanks, and learned some things along the way!!

Here is some of what it took to put it togather and some photos of the event. Enough can not be said about the people that "worked" in putting this thing togather so that the large number that were able to attend could enjoy and "promote" this great Hobby we participate in.

For all that are not WTMRAC club members, Please visit our club site and Join, even if you do not have the time (or desire) to attend meetings and help (that is not everyones thing) Your support financially and as an actual member allows us to keep putting these events togather and help promote the hobby in the community as well.

Well with that being said :
If you appear in these photos then good! If not then you I just failed to "Catch you". If any photos are offensive or unflattering then they could not be of you, they must be someone else.:lol:

Set up of the tables and all was handled by "AFFORDABLE PARTY RENTALS" remember that name if you are planning a Party, wedding, company event or a "Frag Swap" They had all that done for us when we arrived !!!

As you can see "Set Up" was really stressful on some!!

Some were On a Mission to get it done!!

There were a lot of tanks that needed a lot of filling,

It was overheard after the party that when archeologists dig up this area after we are all dead and gone that they will wonder what all the Salt Deposits were from the water that was dumped in the parking lot!!!

Well it looks like Barrett was ready!!!

And then the doors were opened!!

And Lettie was there to greet them(and take there money from them)

And Teena, and BJ stayed upstairs for most of the event "eating and sellng Popcorn Hot dogs and BarB.Q."

And Everyone Remember "DREW" here is a new member that stayed upstairs and sold T-shirts all day He is jsut getting his first tank up and running, Lets all remeber him in the near future when his tank is ready "set aside a few Frags with his name on them!!!

And we could not have even had this event without Money manager Cathy and the Event Chairperson Malissa.

And there is "MrHarris" scanning the Raffle Prizes!!

And of course Jay found the Bar B.Q. How was it Jay??

AND!!!

Thanks to Randy Reed From Reef Nutrition, that gave a great talk, and Slide Show on "Reef Nutrition" and feeding. Thanks Randy it was nice to have you and we appreciated your program!!

There were some (The guy goes by Shane in the Grey shirt there) that it appears must have paid some beautiful people to follow him around!!

The Gentleman in The Dark blue Ball Cap with the smile on his face has reason to smile, He won nearly every raffle that was given away.

And don,t forget MEISEN from way up north, came down to enjoy some sunshine and "share" some absolutly georgeous LPS with everyone down here!! There are a lot brighter colors in some tanks today because of what he brought with him.

And there was a new vendor from our area "Make Fish Smile" (Looks like we need to work on Making him smile??)

And Scott and Doris selling there wares!!

and we even had a group of young Girls selling cookies for the Huname society (Hey maybe we could get the Humane society to help us set up a "Rescue a Coral Program" for mistreated Corals and inverts!!

Everyone was ready as the Raffle drawings were started!!

Here is everyone in anticipation as our VP Steve(Dr.Peaches) makes a few people happy as everyone else oooohs, and aaaahs,

And Here is "The Last Of the Mohicans" the last three left Standing in the parking lot, too tired to drive home!! Our President Dave (Snakemanvet) and our Treasurer Cathy(crpeck) are being drilled on what we can do better next year by (alkamar)

I apologize for the quality of the pictures and I know that I left some of our people and vendors out, I assure you it was not intentional ( I deleted a full card of photos in error)!!! arent,t you glad or this thread would really be a long one!!

I just noticed that. I can't say there is room for a drastic improvement as everything went really well. I merely made a few suggestions. I just got the picture in my head of a sergeant yelling out orders after reading that. I tried to move back to get out of the picture, but I see my face broke your focus. :rollface:
