Mine pulls the algae clip right off the side. When I put him in my QT setup for a few days, he devoured every piece of caulerpa that was in there. Guess I got lucky.

Same here Jeff. The big hippo is a algae-munching machine.

I never seen my hippo(which I got rid of because he was eating all the food) or any buddy elses eat from the rocks!They all take algae from the clip.

If you offer them the good stuff all the time you won't ever see them eating the stuff from the rocks. Same thing happens when you feed copperband butterfies some mysis or other foods and then they stop eating aiptasia for you.

I guess if you there was filet mignon around all the time I would take bologna sandwiches to work with me either
