A couple of pointers. If you can, I would just do away with the X10 and get a DC8 from Neptune. It has no interference issues and in the long run it is a cheaper solution than all the X10 mods and filters that you may need. Finally, the x-10 appliance modules from Smarthome.com allow you to disable local control without opening the unit and cutting wires.
Thank you so much . The modification fixed my problem. I agree that it would be better to replace the x-10 modules with dc style. I will have to add that to my list of gadgets to buy
