I don't know where this came but it is currently residing in my tank. so far, non of my sps has been affected, but i going to try and trap it, and hope for the best.

hairy normally == bad. But then again we are pretty much totally anti-crab anyways, so aside from acro crabs, all other crabs == bad to us (but the hairy ones are the worst)

No crab is really reefsafe unless its acro/porcelin crabs.... even arrow can be a menace.... When that thing gets bigger, you would wish you got it out sooner

it's probably about an inch size. Besides, the "bottle rig" any other way of catching this crab?

At night an hour after lights turnoff, when crab feels safe to venture out in the open, use a flashight covered with a red plastic or lens ( to make light red) so that crab can't see the light. Use a metal or hard plastic stick/Ice pick... scure the bastard.... works for me everytime... about 40 times already... and thats without the redlight... regular light gets them disoriented and only leaves U with a few seconds before they get their barrings straight and run 4 cover..

Once you catch him, let people know and you might get some money or something you want in trade.

One person's non-reefsafe critter, is another person's exotic pet.

Best of luck,

Roy
