Xenia! how do I make it stop growing

how light reliant is xenia? i was thinking about taking the rocks that have it growing all over it and put them in a rubermaid container with a lid for a week or so. i just can't seem to get rid of it.

Let Xenia grow on the side and back glass, not on your rocks. Makes it super easy to remove excess and also makes for great nutrient export in an SPS dominated tank. Anything that will kill Aiptasia should also work to kill Xenia.

Granted I only have a 3ft. tank but the xenia is now growing on the complete opposite side of the tank from where it started and I have hydnophora between it and the rest of the tank. In short, good luck isolating it. The only time I've seen it in quick decline is when I ran the pH of my tank at ~8.6 for 2 months to fight algae. All fish and coral did fine except the xenia whithered away. Somehow it bounced right back when I lowered the pH again but it definitely had an effect.

Ill send you some frag plugs if you send me some xeina. I cant get the stuff to grow, keeps shrinking on me, then poof, angle fish food.
