xenia in fuge question

I feel a little embarrassed to ask this. Does Xenia go sexual and release spores??? Also, would Xenia survive under a flood light??? I was looking into putting Xenia and chaeto in my fuge (separate sections), but I do not want either in my display of course. Open to input. I have no experience with softies and am new to having a fuge.

FYI, I am rebuilding my tank. Display is BB and SPS dominated. Fuge has a 1050 lumen flood light and rock rubble. Still looking for Chaeto. and is on a reverse lighting schedule.

Xenia is an excellent nutirent exporter. It grows fast and needs fuel to do so.

If you are giving it enough light I don't see much of a problem. Its a coral and not a plant so it doesn't go sexual per se. Some of the soft corals can however do a bit of chemical warfare on other corals so I would plan on running carbon or the like.

another thought is that running an SPS tank often requires a lower nutrient level than xinia is happy with.
