Xenia on Crocea shell

I've got a four inch crocea that is growing very quickly and seems very happy. However, my xenia have decided that its shell is a wonderful place to grow onto. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if it eventually irritated the clam. My first instinct was to remove the xenia but it looks pretty cool and the clam doesnt seem to mind it right now.

i had the same issue 3" crocea
it did not bother until the xenia started moving and were constanly stopping the mantle extension, other than that saw no problems, i removed the xenia after the mantle issue

Thanks for the replies guys. So far so good. My clam could really care less about the xenia growth. However, if it becomes excessive it will be time to frag it. I have xenia already growing on the glass and back of my tanks. Amazing little creature.
