I recently added a canister filter to my tank in combination with a chiller and since then I noticed my red/green polyps have completely shriveled up. Two days ago my pulsing xenia started to shrivel and within those two days most have completely died. These xenia were doing great before the change and were rapidly spreading, as were the polyps. I do weekly water changes of 10 % and clean the media weekly. My parameters are as follows: Ammonia - .25, Nitrite â€"œ 0, Nitrate â€"œ between 0 & 2.5 (color is in between the readings), temp â€"œ 79 deg, ph â€"œ 8.4, alk â€"œ normal.
Any ideas, suggestions??? PS I did a 12% water changed yesterday hoping to reverse the issue but so far I don’t see improvement.
Nothing else has changed with my tank except the canister addition.
