My xenia stopped pulsing yesterday. It's looks okay and everything. I just don't want it to die. So my question- If my xenia isn't pulsing does that mean anything? It was pulsing since I got it on Saturday the 11th. Thanks for the help

It does not mean that it is dying, dying is closed up looking. I have found that iodine seems to help with the pulsing. It can survive without pulsing though.

If the flow is constant, and never alternates, especially in a high flow tank, all pulsing xenias will eventually stop pulsing.

In constant high flow tanks, turn off flow temporarily and you see that they will start to pulse again when the flow is shut off.

There is some flow coming from a power head that is across the tank by about 3 feet. It sways a little. I did add iodine to the tank. I just wanted to make sure that it not pulsing was a sign of death or something
