Today was the first time in a week that my Xenia did not pulse. They are all open and standing upright but for some reason they just are not pulsing. Can anyone tell me what might be going on.

yikes that picture is blurry! There are a lot of opinions/myths about what mkaes xenia pulse. What are the conditions of your tank, and what filtering do you have on it.. also how much flow is it getting?

My xenias pump very fast in calm water and slower in more turbulence. I think the fast pumping in low current is to move more water around themselves for nutrient supply and gas exchange. I wouldn't worry about it. If they are stiff and healthy looking they should be fine.
Mess around with the flow around the xenia and see what happens. Give it a few minutes to adjust after changing the flow.
