ok, what can I do to get this xenia under control? It is taking over my tank and I don't know what to do with it. It is pretty much like a weed to me now. Any suggestions?

Take out any that is at the bottom and mid level of the tank. Place the rest at the very top of the tank. It alway wants to grow toward the light, so place it high and it cannot run on to anything besides the back glass.

Yeah I have mine isolated on rocks that they are at the top of the rock and have not spread all over the place. They have a tendancy to grow up but not down.

mine has grown down.... not as much as up.

it grew in all directions till it found a reason not to go farther.... like the glass, it tries to grow on the glass, and other corals... so far the star polyps are winning...

I keep mine isolated on a rock (suspended). They will likely not "walk" down to the next rock, normally just up. You can also section them off with LPS. Torches, frogspawn, Hammers and Galaxia will keep it from passing with a sting.
