Hey guys,

I would like to have my light come on at 1400K and go off at 1400K, no ramp up or ramp down. Can someone please tell me how? I am programming on my computer. I can do it on my phone but can't figure out how to "save" that setting so would like to do it thru my computer. Thx

in the templates, there is one that just emulates a lighting setup with blues and full power lights- no ramps. That may be what you are looking for.

I can't seem to get the settings right. There is always a ramp up and down with blues, which I don't want. I just want on at 1400K and off at 1400k. Any ideas what Im doing wrong?

If you dont want linear ramp ups and ramp downs- drag the "preset" to where it is vertical over the "off" preset...instead of sloping. Does that make sense?

Yes, I think it does, I am at work but I will try is when I get home. When you say "presets" you mean - pick one of the already programmed options, like "Traditional reef'or "High Growth" and adjust that one?

Yeah- exactly. Traditional reef is probably exactly what you are looking for. couple hours of blues on either side of 8 hours of intense lighting.

Note: I think there are better options out there- but that requires a little tinkering and research on spectrum and coral growth. I just started up a new tank with 2 xr15 pro's after having sold my tank when I moved from Virginia to Oklahoma. I was a t5 guy before that. Tank still not ready for corals yet, but soon ;)

I have been dealing with a really bad cyano issue for months and was doing all the normal fixes you should when this happens but wasn't getting anywhere. I hadn't done the lights out bit yet because I was convinced that I shouldn't have cynao issue with low intensity LED's. I had already reduced them for about a month to only be on about 5 hrs at low intensity. But I had a pretty long blue ramp up and blue ramp down time. My LFS guy -who is actually very helpful and problem solved with me for about 30mins the other day suggested I do a lights out for 3 days and then evaluate. (Cyano went away after the first 24hrs of lights out.) Then pick a color temp I like but cut out the blue ramp up and blue ramp down, so that what I was trying to set. It was actually more difficult and step heavy then I thought. I usually just picked one of the pre sets and lowered the intensity. I didn't realize the modifications you can do within the presets. Thanks for pushing me a bit to look closer at the settings. I have the light set to come on at 10am at 1350K and go off at 1pm at 1350K. at 60% intensity. No blue ramp up or down. I'll stick with those setting and see how the tank responds.

PS: Tank is a 40g IM Nuvo with protein skimmer, media reactor and I use RODI water. Live rock, fish and mostly softies, (I lost all of my stonies with the cyano out break)
