ya for these genius UT football players

I'm a Vol fan in the middle of dawg country and i've been catching hell all day from people. Don't think they'll do it but; revoke the scholarships and kick 'em out of school is what i say.

I've always said it's a good thing that more criminals aren't smart.

Why kids like this who could be looking forward to an NFL career (or at least a free ride to a degree) would jeopardize that by knocking off a few dudes in a car is beyond me. Even if they had gotten something from the guys and got away with it, what did they hope to make off of that hit... maybe $200 if they're really lucky?

Stupid.

I'm interested to see how this is handled.

They'll get a relative slap on the wrist ("we were only using a pellet gun") so they can grow up thinking they can get away with dog fighting, beating up strippers, carrying guns into bars and then shooting oneself, etc.

Honestly, the NFL (and the Universities these people attend) can't afford the same image that NBA basketball now has. The problems mostly start when people begin to believe that just because they can catch, run, or throw better than most people that they ought to be able to get away with anything.

PSU players have had their share of off the field problems as every major college has. And I can say that every time my school makes the news because some idiot on the team does something stupid, it's downright embarrassing. As the most visible representatives of my school, I feel like the football team should be held to a higher standard when it comes to their off the field behavior... not a lower one.

Apparently 2 out of the 3 involved have been dismissed from the UT football team and the 3rd is still suspended from team activities while they continue to gather information about his role in what went down.
