Pretty excited about this lil upgrade.

Went from old bulb T5 6 bulb fixture (1 of 2 ballasts blown). To the Kassil AP700.

So far I think it is pretty cool. Time will tell how I like LEDs, but so far I ike the fact I can "dial" in the color to make the corals I own pop.

No I have to find a way to hide the cord.

Looks good Kev. You gotta be careful with the LEDs as they wont look as bright or intense as the T5s but they will be so dont try to make them "look" as bright as the T5s.

Very nice. Do you get good coverage on the edges of the tank?

I am still playing with the height.I can get good coverage across all 48" but then it bleeds over the front and back. With my aquascape the edges aren't that big of deal.

I have them started on 50% (will see how everything reacts) there is a acclimation program that increases them every 14 days till you get to your set limit.

I just don't get why they didn't make this light 6" longer. Even on a 120 4'x2' you get the same issue. Spillover on the front and back if you want it to cover the sides properly. IMO it's a perfect light for a 3' tank.

My wife said the same thing... Wait, oh the light...

Seriously I agree, I am pretty pleased with the colors it puts out. I think that the light will be getting some firmware upgrades and I would assume maybe a lense mod to get more spread...
