So long story short. I had a mantis shrimp in my 120g for at least 5-7 years. Came in as a hitchhiker on some LR. Didn't know I had until about a year ago and 2 weeks ago I saw him for the first time. Needless to say that's why my CUC was getting wiped out. Well he was pretty much starving by this point. I tried all the traps for the last for couple of weeks with no luck. Well yesterday I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the LFS bought some silverside and you'll never guess. I caught the bugger on my first try. I had some long tongs and dangled the silverside in front of the little buggers home. He came right out and wrapped around the silverside so I just scooped him up with my net. Easier than I ever thought and I was so happy. Now back to the LFS to look at some goobies and clams I've been wanting to get

if I had that type of critter that caused that much grief, it might have ended up in a skillet.

I just caught my Bicolor angel who decided to go coral killer. did the old inverted bottle trick. worked like a charm.

here's a pic of him at the LFS. I donated him.

good to hear! i have one in mine and i have yet to see him. i just hear him clicking away. im sure eventually i will find out where he lives and ill take the rock out and use club soda or something. But without knowing where he is it'd be like shooting in the dark.

Or getting shot at with your hands in the tank. I've seen some at my LFS they were selling that were about 8 inches long. Hate to think of finding one of those in my tank becuase it speared my hand.

ive had one for 14 years and have moved the tank and rock 3 times includung cooking the rock in the basement for 2 months.

have yet to see him

just the click click clicks at night
