Yello Belly Hippos

I have a large yellow belly hippo in my 6' 250g tank. THe tank mates include Purple tang, Naso, flame angel, Mystery wrasse. I have 2 small YB hippos in my 90 frag tank and I want to move them into my 250. Do you guys think the large hippo will be agressive towards the smaller hippos and will accept them or will they fight till they die?
I have seen people have more than one hippos in their tank.

thats a toss up, i would not do it unless you had plenty of time on your hands to keep a close eye on them. You may have to take the larger out and put the smaller ones in and the introduce the larger a few days later.

Also rearrange the LR and introduce them at the same time.

The LFS warned my that a Purple and Yellow tang is going to fight because they are the same shape. I introduce them at the same time and the swim together like buddies, never any aggression.

Level the playing field so no one has ownership of the tank.

Actually I'd be more worried about your purple tang beating up on them than your hippo bothering them. My purple tang totally shredded a mimic tang I had when I tried to introduce it, had to remove the mimic and put him in a different tank.

How small are your other yb's?

I have two yellow bellies. The larger one was established in the tank for at least 6 months and then I added the smaller one. I got the smaller one from someone local, it was totally malnourished and paper thin. No he's a fatty and both my hippos do well together. The larger one bullies him a little bit, but never nips or hurts the smaller one.

the small ones are really small. About 1/2 dollar size. i agree with you about the Purple tang, I am worried about that too.
