yellow eye kole tang is a real @$$

Yesterday i bought a Copperband Butterfly for my tank,a nice looking-eating frozen mysis at the fish store, healthy mouth-about 3 1/2-4" great colors. Put it in my tank and my fish really had no interest in him at first.
Then the Kole tang see's it and starts to chase him around the tank. That gets my coral beauty involved(them two are budds). Now the kole is the only one who chases him. My yellow tang has no interest and the small hippo has none either.
Same thing happened about a month and a half ago when i got the hippo(he was real small, about an inch or so-he has doubled or tripled in size since) He got chased for about a week-after four days or so it calmed down.

I thought kole tangs were the least aggressive of tangs? Shouldn't i expect this from the yellow tang-who was the first of my tangs- and not the kole? Everything ive read says that the yellow would be the one to watch out for.

Just thought id share my experience. Im pretty much done with fish for now. I might add another wrasse or two at some point. Just have to choose what one/s.
My fish are-
clown(not sure of type-nemo)
black clown-not typical nemo one, Australian i believe
Yellow tang
hippo tang
yellow eye kole tang
yellow watchman goby
coral beauty
foxface
sixline wrasse
leopard wrasse
striped mandrian
New-Copperband butterfly

I added a CBB to my tank couple months ago my purple tang, adult Naso and all other fish could care less..But my powder blue tang wanted to kill it big time..The CBB was an awesome fish,he ate spectrum pellets, frozen foods and aiptasia, didn't touch a coral ever..

Sucked so bad that the PBT wanted to kill him :( Ohh well he has a good home now..

My kole is a real piece of work. It chases my starry blenny around. I know it competition... but it's not like there isn't enough algae to go around. It also likes to flip and bulldoze things on my sand bed (like my clams :uhoh3:)

CBB is also a tough fish to add last. I tried one in my 75. It devoured the aiptasia that were over running the tank, but the stress form established tank mates on top of switching from the 75 to a 90 took it's toll and it swam off to the big ocean in the sky. I had it for about 4 months.

What size tank?

What size tank?

What size tanks were these CBB added to? I recently upgraded from a 75 to a 180 and am trying to decide on a stocking list. I am seriously considering adding a CBB and another tang or two. Just trying to get a feel for possible conflicts.

He certainly does todd, except I figured out why your one clam didn't make it...

My Kole was the biggest A hole I've ever owned. He was sp aggressive towards everything(including himself) that he ripped his tail spines out swatting the glass and attacking his reflection. (Un)Fortunately he met his demise with my CL intake. Fish bones are clear, did you know this? Also a Barracuda pump will suck the flesh clean off those bones.

i have a 120 long that it was added to (5ft long,18inch wide, and 25.5 inches tall) And the yellow tang and the foxface are the biggest fish, at around 5"-6" .
I have a dozen or so aiptasia and the reason i got it was for looks and the purpose of eating them, which i hope it does. One of my fav looking fish, just wanted to wait until i came across a healthy enough one to buy.
