Frustrated Stick Gardener
I have set up a new 65 gal mixed reef and am looking for an algae grazing fish. I have had great success with tangs keeping algae at bay in the past. That said, everything I read this is the only bristletooth tang i can find recommended for anything less than a 125 gal tank. Anyone have any experience with one in a 65 - 75 gal tank?Did it stay healthy and happy? Open to other suggestions for an algae grazer. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't do it in anything less then a 4 foot tank mine is in a 92 and he will ocasionally sprint the length back and forth, though 99 percent of the time he just slowly drifts around and picks at the rocks.

Have you considered a lawnmower blenny. Not the prettiest but I think they are cool looking and they have a great personality.

Thanks for the reply, I am very hesitant to put any tang in this tank, hence my asking questions, but want algae control as I don't run ULNS systems. I will check the blenny out.
