Yellow Eye Kole Tang

ive been eyeing this fish for some time now, and i would really like it to be my next fish. does anyone have any experience with them, all i have in my tank now is 1 clown, 2 green chromis, and cuc with pep shrimp.

I had a Kole Tang until I introduced a fish without quarintining it and severeal fish died from ick. He was a great addition and grazed a lot on micro algea. Beautiful fish but make sure you quarintine. I learned the hard way.

I have one and it is a cool fish. Very active and a good grazer. Not as attractive as many other brightly colorec tangs but they have a unique pattern that is beautiful.

I love this fish. He has done well in my tank. I call him my kissing fish as he's constantly kissing the glass and rocks all day long.

I have had one for about 4 months. They are great always moving around and the algae on my back glass was gone in two days after he went into the tank. I put nori strips free floating in the water and he and the foxface eat it at each end looking like they are playing tug of war

I think they are suppose to be in at least a 75 gal. tank

Loved mine, constant grazer. Photographed beautifully with blue highlights, but always looked just plain brown to the naked eye.

I've had my Kole for about 7 months now. It grazes on microalgae all day, but loves the homemade food (with nori) that I feed in the evening. However, it is very aggressive with any fish that I add. It harrassed a Copperband Butterfly so bad it died within a few days of being introduced to the tank. HTH

I've had mine for several years now. He's great! Always active and never hiding. He will show off big time if he wants to be fed. I've got more colorful fish, but none can touch him for personality. He swims the entire tank, and thinks he owns it all. He will harass any new fish I add, but he usually doesn't keep it up more than a day or two. I named mine Prince, since he is purple. I've never had any hair algae whatsoever, and I credit his constant grazing for this. All in all he is a great fish!
