Yellow Eyed Kole Tang disscoloration

I bought a kole tang 2 weeks ago. It has been in a qt with a yellow tang i bought the same day. Yellow tang seems to be just fine. My kole tang is getting tan colored splotches on its facial area. Any guesses?

If it has spine injury results in discoloration and swelling

Do you notice any aggreation between the 2? Can you seperate the 2 fish with eggcrate?

I haven't noticed any aggression between the two. They seem to get along just fine. They are always swimming around together. I have yet to see one get chased around.

What size is the quarentine tank and have you monitored water quality..would suspect that first off..especially ammonia..
